Colored Pencils - Intermediate.

Designed for and taught at HOOT 2006 convention, this packet contains7 pages of instructions and theory, plus 1st and 2nd layer diagrams, (B&W), 15 step by step color instructions for petals and glass and one full size print.  Revised in pdf form.

When I framed the rose with the oval mat, which I had painted with acrylics, I found the corners a large, blank space.  I turned to Rebecca Baer's stencil, number 105, and with a sharp point, quickly decorated the corners. I added a stripe, using a ruler and the entire project was finished in a matter of minutes. I will be using the stencils for decorating with colored pencils more in the future. Spray seal to protect. 

I used Mi Tientes paper on this project, but you should also check out Janelle Johnson's heavily textured, hand made papers.  I did one sample on her paper and it was so easy and wonderful to work with.  Write and ask for the size for John's Rose. She may have some left from HOOT.
