Having lived in South Florida for 36 years Marian recently moved to Middletown, Ohio with her husband John, who was born in Middletown.

Painting for 28 years, she has been lucky enough to have had some wonderful seminars with the greatest teachers, but mostly, is self-taught.  Marian passed her SDP certification in 1981 and began teaching.

Entering the Certification program with the Society of Decorative Painters she passed the master stroke in 1989 and the master floral in 1997.She seems to leave 7 years between entries - usually through life's circumstances rather than intent.  In 1998 she passed the 2-kyu certification with the Nihon Tole Painting Association in Tokyo, Japan.

Marian passed the final Still Life portion of the Master Program in 2005.

John supports and aids Marian's painting and his two sons also paint. She was a member of the Sun Strokes of the Florida Gold Coast for 26 years. She now belongs to the Greater Cincinnati Decorative Artists [GCDA], and has belonged to The Society of Decorative Painters since 1977.
